How Pneumatic knife gate valve work?

The working principle of a pneumatic knife gate valve is as follows:

Valve Closed: In the closed position, the gate or blade is positioned perpendicular to the flow direction, effectively blocking the flow of fluid. The pneumatic actuator keeps the gate in this closed position by applying air pressure to one side of the actuator, which keeps the gate pressed against the valve seat, creating a tight seal.
Valve Opening: When compressed air is supplied to the other side of the pneumatic actuator, it applies pressure and moves the actuator, causing the gate to move away from the valve seat and open the valve. As the gate moves, it cuts through the fluid, allowing it to flow through the open space between the gate and the valve body.
Valve Adjusting: The pneumatic actuator allows for precise control of the valve opening by regulating the air pressure applied to the actuator. This allows for accurate throttling of the flow rate or positioning the gate at a specific position based on the process requirements.
Valve Closing: When the supply of compressed air to the pneumatic actuator is stopped or reversed, the actuator moves in the opposite direction, closing the valve.
